Is the score personalized to me?
No — and that's deliberate. The score measures the product's quality on a universal 0–100 scale, so any two foods are directly comparable. Your allergens and dietary preferences appear as separate personal alerts and never change the number.
Where does the data come from?
Primarily Open Food Facts' 3M+ product database. When a product's missing, Digestoa falls back to a web-grounded lookup and, as a last resort, reads the ingredients label you photograph.
Are the pesticide and microplastic numbers exact?
No, and we never pretend they are. They're estimates based on a product's category and packaging, clearly labeled “estimated” with a confidence level and sources. We'd rather be honest than alarmist.
Is it free?
Core scanning and scores are free. Digestoa+ unlocks the deeper reports, compare mode and your long-term feel trends.
Does it work offline?
Your recent scans are cached, so you can pull them up without a connection. New scans need data to look up the product.
Which foods can I scan?
Any packaged food with a barcode or an ingredients list — worldwide. For fresh/unpackaged items, snap the label where there is one.
